Gawain and Michelle love getting away to enjoy quality time camping with their two kids, mostly in Waipu Cove. Gawain also enjoys bushwalking, spending time at the beach and renovating the house, while Michelle likes gardening and interior design. With a degree in health science and having previously worked in emergency health admin, she also takes a special interest in good health. The couple are also busy taking their son, Dustin, to hockey and guitar, and daughter, Danielle, to dancing.

We are often asked why we use the name Knight. The answer is surprisingly simple! Gawain’s name comes from Welsh Arthurian legend. Sir Gawain was King Arthur’s nephew and a Knight of the Round Table. He is often referred to as one of the greatest knights, notably in the tale of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. However, there’s a deeper meaning for us as well. At Knight Garage Doors we are committed to providing strong, quality garage doors, while remaining honest and striving for excellence, just like a knight!
